Joe Murray Ph.D., an associate professor in Kent State University’s School of Media and Journalism, recently was featured in an article in the Akron Beacon Journal for his volunteer work as a pilot for two charitable organizations.
Murray, a licensed pilot for more than 30 years, volunteers for Pilots N Paws, an organization that helps relocate animals to new homes, and Angel Flight East, which provides transportation for those needing medical treatment at no cost.
Both organizations rely on donations and a network of volunteer pilots to provide the needed transportation.
