Head of textile program at Kent State University, Professor Janice Lessman-Moss, curated an exhibition of modernized forms of weaving that was recently featured on Cool Cleveland.
The new show at Kent State’s Center for the Visual Arts, called Line by Line, focuses on six early career artists that are focused on the diverse world of weaving.
“All the artists in this exhibition make work that provides a unique perspective on content and a sophisticated fluency with the language of weaving,” Lessman-Moss was quoted in Cool Cleveland. “I am grateful for their willingness to share their weavings with the students at Kent State and the Northeast Ohio community through participation in this exhibition.”
The exhibition will be on view through March 11, 2022, and is free and open to the public.
There will be an artist talk with Crystal Gregory on March 11 at noon in room 165 at the Center for the Visual Arts.
