Kent State University’s College of Podiatric Medicine is testing a new technology for quick wound healing in diabetics and people prone to nerve damage.
According to WKYC, the MolecuLight is a handheld camera being used in trials at the College of Podiatric Medicine and other locations across the country.
The light works by alerting doctors to the present bacteria in wounds by turning red or cyan. The MolecuLight helps doctors decide which course of action to take in treating the wound.
