University Bands Alumni Chapter
The University Bands Alumni Chapter serves more than 2,500 band alumni from Kent State’s Marching Golden Flashes, Flasher Brass, Wind Ensemble, Concert Bands, Communiversity Band and Jazz Ensembles.
University Bands Alumni Chapter Events
The University Bands Alumni Chapter works closely with the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music’s athletic band director and director of bands to coordinate annual Homecoming festivities, which include marching in the parade and a special alumni band half-time performance. During the winter, the alumni chapter hosts a social for all bands at the conclusion of the Winter Concert. In the spring, the chapter hosts a Flasher Brass Reunion in conjunction with a spring basketball game. Even if you don’t march or play anymore, you will have fun socializing with chapter members.
Kent State also hosts many events year-round in Northeast Ohio and in regions across the U.S. From sporting events to cultural experiences and more, explore upcoming opportunities to connect with other Kent State alumni.
