About the Laboratory

The Evolutionary Neuroanatomy and Skeletal Biology Laboratories are run by Drs. Mary Ann Raghanti, Owen Lovejoy, Richard Meindl, and Linda Spurlock. Facilities includes a full wet lab with all necessary equipment for running histological, immunohistochemical, and enzyme-linked immunoassay procedures, and a microscope suite with an Olympus BX51 microscope equipped with MBF Bioscience Stereo Investigator software. This system includes a motorized stage and color digital camera for high-resolution image montage acquisition for brightfield and darkfield photomicrographs. There is also a dedicated maceration room with negative air-flow for working with skeletal elements.
