University Facilities Management provides comprehensive maintenance of 137 academic, administrative, athletic, and residence hall buildings on a 24 hour, 7 days-a-week schedule. The department also maintains 941 contiguous acres of rolling hills, woods, and manicured greens.

Office of the University Architect personnel ensure the orderly and economical development and alteration of Kent State University facilities according to sound architectural and engineering practices in keeping with the regulatory and procedural requirements of the university, state, and other governing agencies.

Among its activities, the Center sponsors public lectures and conferences that are open to the University community and the general public. The Center has research associates from Kent and other universities who participate regularly in its scholarly activities.
