Karli Miller '23

"Thanks to CCI and my minors, I feel extremely prepared as I continue my education.” 

Karli Miller is a Communication Studies major who is using what she’s learning in the classroom to make meaningful connections in the world around her. 

Through taking on leadership positions in her sorority, this has given Karli many opportunities to practice public speaking skills and maintain positive relations both inside and outside of her chapter. Karli is also part of the Kent State Victoria’s Secret PINK Campus Team where she helps host events and create social media content to raise brand awareness for PINK. She also worked as a Tour Guide and reporter for TV2’s entertainment show “The Blurb.” 

“I love CCI and Communication Studies because it allows me the flexibility to pursue classes I’m interested in while still staying on track to graduate. My major has brought me so many new friends and connections that I truly don’t know if I would find anywhere else. Thanks to CCI and my minors, I feel extremely prepared as I continue my education.” 

Karli has minors in Public Relations and Marketing, and her favorite class so far has been High Impact Professional Speaking. 

“This class helped me improve my public speaking skills and create a positive and encouraging environment where students encouraged others.”
