Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honorary Society, is a service organization for those English majors who demonstrate academic excellence, have an interest in literature and the English language, and want to foster literacy. We stand for sincerity, truth, and design. Kent State's Xi Mu Chapter provides leadership skills, scholarship opportunities, internships, and other career opportunities.

Sigma Tau Delta collected food donations for Freedom House, a Veterans homeless shelter located in Kent, OH. The food drive was very successful! Thank you!

This semester Sigma Tau Delta is working on a monthly newsletter and online zine. Members will have the opportunity to submit to either of the two national Sigma Tau Delta publications, Newsletter and The Rectangle, which feature creative and critical writing.

Requirements for Membership

• Sophomore class standing (36 completed hours)
• Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
• A 3.2 in English courses
