Biography
Jim Williams is the museum’s Senior Exhibition Designer/Preparator, and is responsible for the design, fabrication and installation of all of our exhibits. His 35+ year museum career includes positions at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Akron Art Museum and Intermuseum Conservation Association, giving him broad experience in all facets of exhibitions with a focus on preventive conservation. He has presented multiple times at the International Mountmakers Forums, and recently taught a webinar for the American Institute of Conservation’s “Connecting to Collections Care” initiative. Outside the museum Jim is an avid bicycle tourist and a furniture maker. He holds a BFA in crafts - ceramics from Kent State.
