On Tuesday, Kent State's DI Hub hosted the first of three on-campus Farmers' Market events scheduled for spring semester.
Upcoming dates for the other two on-campus markets will be:
Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 4 - 7 p.m. in the DI Hub.
Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 4 - 7 p.m. on the Student Green near the Kent Student Center.
Vendors are current participants in the Haymaker Farmers’ Market weekly Saturday market in Kent. Their on-campus offerings typically include food (fresh produce, meats, baked goods, honey, maple, prepared foods, etc), plants (flowers, live plants), and art.
The Kent State Farmers' Market is part of the Kent State of Wellness initiative, through Recreation and Wellness Services in the Division of Student Affairs. It aligns with their goals of offering opportunities to expose the university community to nutritious local foods, farms, agriculture and local makers.
