Dr. Kim Hahn has been appointed Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Faculty Affairs in the College of the Arts, effective July 1, 2023. Kent State senior Brian Johnson recently returned from a 15-day education abroad program in South Africa.The Faculty-Led: Heritage Ubuntu Student Project education abroad program was the travel component to an ongoing collaboration between Kent State University and the University of Fort Hare in Alice, South Africa. Some of the nine Kent State University students who were studying at the Paris American Academy are returning home today, and others are expected to travel home tomorrow. A few are staying longer in Europe for various personal reasons. Paris American Academy

Several Kent State University students who were studying at the Paris American Academy in Paris are currently on their way home after an explosion occurred  in the building where the academy is located on Wednesday. Some of the students have decided to stay in Europe. The nine students had been there since June 1, and were due to come home at the end of the month.
