With this program, students enroll in courses at a partner (host) institution. You will need to transfer the credits you earn abroad back to Kent State University.
Upon successful completion of the program, the host institution will issue you an official transcript, which will be needed for the credit transfer process.
You must earn passing grades on the courses you take abroad for the credits to transfer.

Through the Special Education Pre-K Special Needs Endorsement Preparation program, you'll gain the skills and knowledge needed to work with pre-kindergarten students who have a variety of special needs, including those with developmental delays and learning disabilities. You'll learn how to create individualized education plans, use assistive technology and implement evidence-based instructional strategies to support student success.
The Special Education Moderate to Intensive Needs Initial Licensure Preparation program will provide you with the skills and knowledge to help students with disabilities achieve their academic, social and emotional goals.
The Special Education Moderate-Intensive Needs Additional Licensure Preparation program is designed to prepare you for the unique challenges and opportunities associated with working with students with significant cognitive, physical and/or behavioral disabilities.
The Special Education Mild/Moderate Needs Initial Licensure Preparation program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become an effective special education teacher.
Special Education Mild-Moderate Needs Additional Licensure Preparation program provides a comprehensive approach to teaching and learning, including specialized instruction, classroom management and assessment.
