The mission of the School Counseling program at Kent State University is to prepare research-informed, ethically sound, and multiculturally responsive licensed professional school counselors in K - 12 institutions who are responsible for implementing comprehensive school counseling programs and delivering individual and group counseling within diverse school systems.

Kent State University’s  School of Art is excited to announce submissions are now open for the 2024 Student Annual Exhibition. The School of Art encourages entries from all artists, working in any media, regardless of their major or experience.   Students who would like to enter the juried competition must submit a PDF or JPEG image of their artwork via an online entry form. Kent State University at Ashtabula recently announced students named to either the Fall 2023 President's or Dean's lists. In recognition of an extremely high level of academic excellence, a President's List is compiled each academic semester. The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is the global nonprofit dedicated to educational advancement professionals. CASE Awards are 
presented to advancement professionals whose creative, resourceful and innovative work illustrates “how advancement empowers teaching and learning, ignites institutional progress and helps communities thrive.” In 2022, the Division of Philanthropy was honored with one Grand Gold Award, the highest level of recognition in the program, and one Silver Award.

With more than 40,000 members and 200 clubs, the national American Advertising Federation organization is the oldest national advertising industry trade association in the United States. Founded in 1945, the American Advertising Federation - Akron (AAF-Akron) encourages excellence in advertising and holds a highly respected annual awards show to recognize the creative spirit in the art of advertising. The Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement competes in AAF-Akron's annual ADDY Awards each year, most recently winning multiple awards in 2022 and 2023.
