Joshua A. Daniel is a McNair Scholar and a junior majoring in psychology. He is studying African American maternal mental health in the Program for Research on Anxiety Disorders among African Americans (PRADAA) to help improve the mental health within African American communities.   Hearing about the personal experiences of others every day is just one of the reasons Joshua studies psychology. In advance of its premiere, Kent State University’s School of Fashion previewed some of the designs created by its senior students for the 2023 Kent State Fashion Show. The student designers and their models showcased what attendees of this year’s fashion show will see walking down the runway. This year, 30 designers created 113 looks. This year also marks the 40th anniversary of Kent State’s Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising. Mariah Taylor presents speech

At Hyde Park's famous Speaker's Corner in London, citizens come together to discuss social issues they are passionate about. A similar tradition exists at Kent State: The Hyde Park Forum is a long-standing public speaking competition, featuring student finalists from COMM 15000: Intro to Human Communication, who perform their persuasive speeches from class. The Scottsdale Independent reports that EHHS alumnus Tessa Pagel, BS ’16, Lorain, OH, is co-owner with her husband Kellen Pagel of 4Ever Young. The husband and wife duo are former collegiate athletes.
