Following an initial two-year period, Molded Fiber Glass (MFG) Chairman Richard Morrison recently returned to the Kent State University at Ashtabula Campus to announce a two-year renewal of the MFG Foundation Ashtabula County Scholarship program. As in the program’s first two years, the program is funding $50,000 in scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year and $50,000 the following year. Kent State University Assistant Professor Roseann “Chic” Canfora, who was an eyewitness to the Kent State shootings, is remembering singer David Crosby for his commitment to making sure that the events of May 4, 1970, would always be remembered. Crosby, founding member of the band Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, died Thursday at age 81.
