Glauser School Vocal Students Place at NATS Student Auditions

Throughout March, the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Great Lakes Region Student Auditions took place virtually. Over 200 vocalists submitted recordings, hailing from Canada, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Five student from the Glauser School’s voice area placed in their categories: 

March Student Leader of the Month Amy Messmore

Senior Early Childhood Education major Amy Messmore is the recipient of the Kent State University Leadership Center’s Student Leader of the Month. Messmore is currently an active member of United Christian Ministries, an LGBTQ+ Center Christian Ally student organization, supporting and serving the LGBTQIA+ Community. She also serves on the UCM E-Board. The Student Leader of the Month program seeks to recognize students for excellence in leadership through campus and community involvement. Raquel Davis worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 10 years before earning a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Kent State University in 2010. While she still loves fashion, nursing has proven to be a deeper passion. Originally from Sharon Center, Ohio, Michael has been interested in ecological restoration since he was in high school.
