Embodied material knowledge or YouTube craft practice? This talk pulls at one thread of Chicana art to consider archives that hide in plain sight and how those archives situate Kira Dominguez Hultgren’s making practice through the lens of the U.S. Arts and Craft movement and Latinx art. The research for this talk was funded by a Center for Craft, Craft Research Fund Project Grant.
Kent State University’s School of Music presents Hops & Harmonies, an off-campus performance featuring student chamber ensembles at Bell Tower Brewing Co. in Kent, Ohio. The event offers audiences an opportunity to experience live music in a community setting while supporting student performance, collaboration and engagement beyond the concert hall.

Congresswoman Emilia Sykes recently toured Kent State University's airport -- one of Ohio's busiest general aviation hubs and a critical training ground for the university's next generation of aeronautics and engineering leaders. Sykes was joined by Kent State University President Todd Diacon, Airport Manager David Poluga and Christina Bloebaum, Ph.D., dean of the College of Aeronautics and Engineering.
