Welcome Dean Petrella! The College of the Arts is thrilled to welcome Diane H. Petrella, D.M.A. as Dean effective July 1, 2021. Dean Petrella was selected for the position of Dean following a national search.  Dean Petrella joins Kent State University's College of the Arts after 16 years at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's (UMKC) Conservatory, where she served as Dean from 2016 to 2021. When Dr. Vincent Hetherington was invited to participate in a discussion during the virtual meeting of the International Federation of Podiatrists (FIP) AGM on June 19th, he never suspected that there was an underlying reason for his attendance; Heidi Corcoran, the current President of the FIP, honored Dr. Hetherington with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Grace Irvin-Dillard of Bedford, Ohio, who graduated from Kent State University in May 2021 with a degree in entrepreneurship, has already built a successful business from the ground up while still a student. The Business Leadership Training (BLT) is a partnership between Kent State Twinsburg Academic Center and the Twinsburg and Nordonia Hills Chambers of Commerce.
