Three days after May 4, 1970, Akron artist Don Drumm went to the campus of Kent State University with a team of journalists from the Akron Beacon Journal. On November 30, the Kent State University Library hosted the Girls4Steam hackathon-style event, which brought together over 80 local high school students. On December 17, 2018, Kent State University Police Academy Commanders and Cadets from class BAS 18-020 gathered together last night to receive their awards and certificates. Class BAS 18-020 was one of the largest classes to date with 38 cadets and 100% passing of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission Physical Fitness Final Assessment.
