Cuyahoga Falls, OH - Porthouse Theatre, Kent State University’s outdoor, summer theatre located on the grounds of Blossom Music Center, will open its 49th season with a production of “9 to 5." Directed by Porthouse producing artistic director Terri Kent, “9 to 5” opens June 16 and runs through July 1. A preview performance will take place on June 15. A person’s genetic makeup influences how frequently he or she uses social media, according to research by Chance York, Ph.D., assistant professor in Kent State’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. York conducted the research by comparing survey responses between sets of fraternal and identical twins – an approach that has been widely used to study how political views, among other things, are influenced by genetic traits. He found that while both types of twins showed similarities in social media use when compared with one another, the correlation was stronger in identical twins. ...
