Administrative policy regarding conversion of sick leave

  1. Policy statement. The university recognizes that employees may need to be absent from their regularly scheduled work hours for a variety of circumstances not covered under the policy governing paid sick leave. Eligible employees may convert accrued sick leave to other types of paid leave subject to the terms set forth below. A maximum of forty hours (five days) (twenty-four hours/three days for part-time employees) may be converted each fiscal year.

  1. Purpose. The purpose of this policy is to identify requirements for billing and collection of fees assessed to students of Kent state university.
  2. Definitions.
    1. Fees. For purposes of this policy, “fees” shall include all charges assessed to a student’s account including, but not limited to, charges for instruction, room and board, programs and/or courses, parking permits, library fines, etc. or other special purpose fees and charges for services and benefits provided to students as approved by the board of trustees.
