Scholarships
In addition to the general scholarships and loans awarded by the Admissions Office, Kent State University has two scholarship programs of particular interest to biotechnology students.

Priyanka Kumari, Bijaya Basnet, Maxim Lavrentovich, and Oleg Lavrentovich have published an article in the journal Science on chiral ground states of ferroelectric liquid crystals. An object is considered chiral if it can be distinguished from its mirror image. Plan Your Research Experience
Biotechnology students are required to participate in an original research project. Research may be conducted in an internship at an outside company or university or in individual investigations with researchers at Kent State University. Students should start thinking about and planning for the research experience in the first year!
