  • All guests (including children 2 years and older) must have a ticket to enter the ceremony venue.
  • Tickets will not be printed on-site.
  • Guest seating is general admission.
  • The venue primarily features bleacher seating. If you have any specific seating needs or require accessible seating, please see an usher for accommodations upon arrival.

University policy regarding data handling

  1. Policy statement. The university requires the use of institutional data in order to carry out its teaching, research, and administrative missions. The university, through the division of information technology, will develop and publish policies designed to protect and use institutional data in a manner that is ethical, efficient, and supports the university’s strategic goals. 
  2. Responsibilities. Implementation and enforcement of institutional data handling policies is delegated to the vice president for information technology and CIO.

Diplomas

Kent State University has partnered with Parchment Inc. to improve the diploma fulfillment process for graduates of Kent State University. Upon final degree approval, the graduate’s diplomas will be fulfilled by Parchment.

Cap, Gown and Graduation Material Deadlines

  • Grad Fair will take place at the University Bookstore located at the Kent Campus Student Center. Stop in for a chance to win a raffle, purchase your cap and gown, and enjoy light refreshments. GradImages will be there to take headshots and cap and gown photos. Josten's will be available to assist with purchasing your announcements, class rings, and more!

Poet Kimberly Blaeser sits in the audience during her Q&A

The gentle voice of indigenous poet Kimberly Blaeser filled the room of the Wick Poetry Corner in Kent State University’s Library on Wednesday, March 6. Jessica Jones, associate lecturer of English at Kent State University at Stark, led a Q&A session touching on Blaeser’s new poetry collection, initiatives and inspiration.  Blaeser is an Anishinaabe activist who uses poetry as an outlet and to raise awareness for Native American tribes.
