By enabling incarcerated individuals to engage in high-quality academic pursuits, we strengthen pathways towards rehabilitation, change, and hope. The Prison Education Program at Kent State offers courses to inmates while also serving as a re-entry hub for formerly incarcerated individuals.

David Hogg has turned tragedy into activism. He survived the shooting that took place on Feb. 14, 2018, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where 17 people died. Following the shooting, he and his high school classmates began March for Our Lives, a youth-led movement whose mission includes civic engagement, education and direct action by youth to stop gun violence.
