KSU included in Forbes America's Best Large Employers list

Kent State University has been awarded a place on the Forbes list of America’s Best Large Employers 2026. This recognition is presented in collaboration with Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. Forbes and Statista selected America’s Best Large Employers 2026 through an independent survey of more than 217,000 employees working at companies within the U.S. that employ more than 1,000 people. 700 organizations were selected and the award list was announced on Feb. 10, 2026, and can be viewed on the Forbes website.

Free electronics recycling event

The 2026 E-Cycle Drive at Kent State University is open to students, faculty, staff and the community of Kent. Electronics recycling will be open March 4, 11, 18, 25 from 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Kent State University Surplus Store parking lot at 475 Terrace Drive. Members of both the campus and city of Kent community can recycle used electronics through Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations an R2v3 and E-Stewards certified company, where materials are handled in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

International night at Men's Basketball game

Join us Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. for International Night at Kent State University's at men's basketball game as they take on the Central Michigan Chippewas. Walk with other international students during halftime, proudly displaying your country's flag in a celebratory walk led by Vice President for Global Education, Marcello Fantoni, Ph.D. The event highlights Kent State’s global community and commitment to international engagement. University Libraries introduces new mobile app

Kent State University Libraries is now mobile! This brand-new app provides faculty, staff and students with fast and convenient access to the library resources they need in the palm of their hand. Use the new app to quickly search library materials, download content, request research assistance, manage your loans, contact your subject specialist and more. Visit the University Libraries' website to download this intuitive, user-friendly mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play to your smart phone or tablet.

AI and Entrepreneurship

Join us Monday, Feb. 23 from 2-3 p.m. for AI and Entrepreneurship. This collaborative workshop invites accomplished entrepreneurship educator and AI specialist from Lorain County Community College, Matthew Poyle, to speak with attendees about how entrepreneurs of all stages can further their business ventures and entrepreneurial journeys through the transformative utilization of Artificial Intelligence.

Join us for LaunchNET's end of semester showcase on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 4-6 p.m. This will be a tabling event featuring Kent State entrepreneurs and the businesses they have been working on.
