CSU’s fifth president and Kent State’s ninth president passed away on Jan. 2 at 86 years old Cleveland State University and Kent State University will co-host a celebration of life for Dr. Michael Schwartz on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 3 p.m. in the Glasscock Family Foundation Ballroom (third floor of CSU’s Student Center). On Dec. 19, more than 1,500 young students from local elementary schools came to watch the Golden Flashes women's basketball team play the Lake Erie Storm at Kent State's Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. The young Golden Flash fans were in attendance for School Field Trip Day presented by Ohio's 529 College Advantage.
