Biography

Michelle Fretwell, M.A. is a queer, nonbinary, first generation scholar from Boise, Idaho. As a graduate instructor, they teach Introduction to Sociology, Deviant Behavior, and Sociology of Gender. Studying inequalities, their research interests include criminalization, media, gender, sexuality, and racialization. Michelle’s dissertation research focuses on the experiences and perspectives of nonbinary individuals across the country.
