In Noelle Bowles’ classroom, fairytales come to life through the eyes of her students. Bowles, associate professor of English at Kent State University at Trumbull, teaches lessons that extend past the storybook and onto the pages of real life.

Scanning the Past: Library to Digitize Fashion Sketchbooks of Acclaimed Designer

New York couturière designer Pauline Trigère, whose career spanned more than five decades, left behind a legacy of fashion innovation meticulously preserved in volumes of sketchbooks and press clippings. Those volumes have had a home at Kent State University Libraries since 1993 and soon will be accessible to everyone.

Doctoral Student’s Research May Help People Get 'the NAC' of Being Drug Free  

Mandalynn Slupek won first place in Kent State's Three Minute Thesis competition on Oct. 3 when she presented “Getting the NAC of Being Drug Free,” research on how the supplement NAC or N-acetyl cysteine can be used in the fight against addiction.
