Each year, hundreds of nominations are submitted to Kent State University, showcasing some of the best and brightest alumni and students who excel in their fields and communities. This year, seven alumni and one student will be honored as 2021 Alumni Awards recipients.

The Podiatry Foundation, located in Independence, Ohio, is laying the groundwork to help secure the financial and academic future of Ohio’s only podiatry college – Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.

Kent State University has partnered with Greater Akron community organizations to conduct the first comprehensive and specific LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment (CNA). Efforts of this assessment focus on producing a better-informed public health system and improving the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community members.

A scholarship has been established to honor the life and legacy of E. Timothy (Tim) Moore, Associate Dean Emeritus in Kent State University’s College of Arts and Sciences and Associate Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pan-African Studies.
