The Kent State University student organization Her Campus took top honors from its national organization for a week of events the group held in April to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

When longtime Kent State University journalism professor Susan Zake decided to pursue a new career with the non-profit online news source, Signal Akron, she made a hiring list from the many Kent State graduates she had mentored over her 17-year career.

As founder and owner of Sky Quest aircraft management and charter company, Corey Head, ’98, knows that hiring other Kent State graduates is a wise investment in the future. Of the 75 employees on his staff, roughly half are Kent State graduates.  

When it came time to pick a college, Moe Duffy knew two things for certain: she wanted to work with animals and she wanted to stay in Ohio. Kent State gave her both. 

Since childhood Kent State alum Jessica Clonch has wanted to combine her love of the outdoors with her career. Now, to her delight, she’s living the dream.
