Alliance Middle School students are more likely to make healthy lifestyle choices after attending a health and wellness fair presented by a group of senior nursing students from Kent State University College of Nursing. The adolescents rotated through four exhibits which focused on positive self-talk, mindfulness and stress management, the importance of sleep, and anti-bullying and building healthy relationships.

Kent State University has received a $2.5 million gift for its Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising from the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation of Hudson, Ohio. This gift will endow a Fashion School chair and support the study-away program for students.
Kent State received a grant for $1 million from the Gawlicki Family Foundation of Hartford, Connecticut, to fund the development of a state-of-the-art distance learning translation studies program. “This transformational gift … will enable us to better fulfill our global mission by bringing our outstanding translational studies program to the world through a high-quality, technology-rich distance learning platform,” said Kent State President, Beverly Warren.
