Sept. 21 is World Gratitude Day, a day dedicated to showing thanks and appreciation to the many different people in your life. While many people appreciate receiving gratitude, what they may not know is that expressing gratitude actually makes them feel better, too.

Enrollment in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering Soars

Overall enrollment in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering has continued robust growth this fall increasing from 1,141 students in 2022 to 1,288 students in 2023.

Emily Spencer, a senior from North Canton, Ohio, said her time in the Kigali Summer Institute gave her a deeper understanding of humanity.

When she signed up for the Kigali Summer Institute in Rwanda, Kent State University senior Emily Spencer, thought it would be a good training ground for humanitarian work she hopes to perform in the future. When she returned from the three-week course, she felt significantly changed. 

Four staff members from the National Police College in Rwanda have begun their studies as graduate students at Kent State University this semester.

Large numbers of international graduate students are boosting enrollment of both international students and graduate students.
