Kent State Welcomes Chris Dorsten as University Registrar

Chris Dorsten will become the new Kent State University registrar effective May 17, 2021.

As university registrar, Dorsten will be responsible for providing leadership and development of strategies as it relates to academic records and graduation services, registration and enrollment services, Kent State’s degree audit system, academic scheduling, and state and federal compliance.

Dorsten comes to Kent State with an extensive background in enrollment management, including service as registrar at Cuyahoga Community College. Dorsten earned a master's degree in adult learning and development from Cleveland State University and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration from Park University.

Dorsten's selection was recently announced by Mary Parker, Ed.D., Kent State's vice president for enrollment management.
