You’re Admitted to Kent State CCP. What’s Next?
Welcome to Kent State!
Being admitted to College Credit Plus is the beginning of your experience as a Kent State student. Complete these steps to get ready for your first semester.

1. Set Up Your Kent State Account
Your Kent State account gives you access to the university systems and services you'll use as a CCP student.
Follow the instructions you receive after admission to establish your account and log in to FlashLine, Kent State's student portal.
You'll use FlashLine to access important student information and services throughout your time at Kent State.

2. Start Checking Your Kent State Email
Once you're admitted, Kent State will begin sending important CCP information to your Kent State email account.
Check it regularly for information about orientation, advising, registration and other steps you'll need to complete before classes begin.
Tip: Continue checking the personal email address you used on your CCP application as you complete the admission process, too.
3. Complete CCP Orientation

Your online orientation is offered through Canvas, Kent State’s online learning platform used for courses, assignments and other academic activities.    
Here’s what to watch for:
First, you’ll receive your congratulatory welcome email with instructions to logging into FlashLine.
One day later, you will receive your orientation email and instructions. 
Tip: You cannot access orientation until you’ve logged into FlashLine.
4. Meet With Your Academic Advisor
College Credit Plus students are required to meet with a Kent State academic advisor before scheduling courses.
During your appointment, you and your advisor will discuss your academic goals and choose courses that fit your needs. Your courses must also fit your middle or high school schedule and be approved by your school counselor.

5. Register for Your Classes
After meeting with your Kent State academic advisor, you'll be ready to register for your approved courses.
Registration is completed through FlashLine. Kent State's Registration & Records resources provide instructions for registering for classes, along with information about registration dates and deadlines.

6. Get Ready for Your First Class (consider how to set this up, maybe horizontal rules between parts?)
Once you're registered, take some time to get familiar with the tools, resources and information you'll need as a Kent State student.
Know Where You're Going
If you're taking classes on a Kent State campus, review campus maps (set link to: https://map.concept3d.com/?id=568#!ct/90974,90975,90976,90977,97693,986…) and for Kent Campus see parking and transportation (link on text to 58816) information before your first day.
Get Familiar With Your Kent State Tools
Make sure you can access FlashLine, your Kent State email and the university technology you'll use for your courses.
Find Your Course Materials
You can find the required textbooks for your courses by logging into FlashLine and going to Student > Courses and Registration > View or Print Course Schedule and Purchase Textbooks.
Some courses may also participate in Flash Books, which provides required digital course materials for participating course sections.

College Credit Plus isn't just a course on your high school schedule. You're taking Kent State courses, learning from university faculty and beginning to build your college academic record.
Ask questions. Get to know your faculty and advisor. Use the university resources available to you. And take the opportunity to explore subjects that could become future academic and career interests.
This is your Kent State experience, too.
