CCP Direct Admission
Your Kent State College Credit Plus (CCP) experience can provide a streamlined path to becoming a degree-seeking Kent State student after high school.
The CCP Direct Admission Program gives eligible students a simplified way to apply for undergraduate admission and build on the college credits they've already earned.
About CCP Direct Admission
The CCP Direct Admission Program is designed for students who have taken College Credit Plus courses through Kent State and want to enroll at Kent State after high school.
Program benefits include:
- A streamlined transition from CCP to undergraduate admission
- A shorter application process
- No application fee
Are You Eligible?
You may be eligible for CCP Direct Admission if you:
- Completed at least three credit hours through Kent State CCP
- Have a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA or a 2.75 cumulative Kent State GPA
- Are in good academic standing
- Graduate with the Class of 2027 or later

How to Apply for CCP Direct Admission
Beginning Aug. 1, eligible students receive an email with a personalized link to their CCP Direct Admission application. The email is sent to the address used for their original Kent State CCP application.
Students will:
- Open the Direct Admission email
- Use the personalized link to access the application
- Upload an updated or final high school transcript
- Update their application information
- Submit the application at no cost
Other Ways to Apply to Kent State
CCP Direct Admission provides a simplified application process, but eligible students are not required to use it. Eligible and non-eligible students may also via traditional admissions processes.
