American Association of University Women at Kent State University

AAUW at Kent State University is the campus chapter of a much larger organization that has been advocating on the behalf of gender equity within policymaking since 1881. We are advocates looking to educate others and create real change in our community. If you passionate about social justice issues specifically surrounding gender equality, this is the group for you. We are nonpartisan by design and welcome all to attend our meetings. We are intersectional in our beliefs and believe that all are welcome to the table when it comes to discussing equality. Our meetings are discussion-focused and we really try to engage our members directly. We are also connected to resources like the Women's Center on campus and aim to stay connected directly to organizations in the Kent community. If you are looking to make real change, join us for a meeting!

AAUW at KSU's goal is to contribute to the global effort of advancing equity through volunteer work, advocacy on campus, and discussing subjects like education, civil rights, leadership, and representation in our meetings.
