Her nominator, Gavin Aitken, had this to say about her:

"Alexis is one of the most caring leaders that I know. She is continuously taking initiatives to advocate for the rights of others and looks for opportunities to increase diversity. They act to promote the education of important topics that affect the lives of her peers, while also taking personal steps to be self-aware. Overall, I cannot imagine a more influential student leader and advocate.”

KYLE MACON

His nominators, Jillian Mt. Castle and members of the CSI Team, had this to say about him:
“Kyle Macon, better known as DJ Smillz to many, is an excellent example of an outstanding Kent State University student. In every interaction with him, people leave feeling included, appreciated, and cared for. An example of this kindness was seen at an event hosted by the Flash Activities Board this semester. Kyle was participating in the skating rink and saw someone that was differently abled than he is that needed a little help. Kyle jumped right in to meet the student and see how he could support, which in turn allowed that student to participate more fully in the event. The joy that was evident in Kyle’s expression showed that he truly has a passion for creating community. 
 
We’ve also seen Kyle at many events throughout the semester in his role as DJ Smillz. No matter what is happening in the world, Kyle comes to every interaction with a smile on his face and says hello to everyone. Though this may seem like a small gesture, it really adds positivity to any event and is an act of leadership that does not go unnoticed. 

There is no one that we can think of that more consistently shows up for their community and would love to see Kyle recognized for all that he does for KSU.”

ISAAC JIMENEZ

His nominator, Carmen Grubbs, had this to say about him:

“Isaac is a supervisor to many students who work in the student center. He is the first to help in any situation that arises in the building or with events. He has a passion to lead and to train students on the ins/outs of the building. He created quizzes on his own time, to better test that what he was training the crew on that comprehended/understood, based on that information he knew who needed more work or re-trained. He treats all staff under his supervision fairly and equally.

Isaac wants people around him to learn, feel included, and be successful. He is involved in a few other areas on campus, due to being from Chicago he may not hit the community outside of KSU campus, he does however make a tremendous impact in this building and his college.”
