Crawford Women In Business

Crawford Women in Business is a professional student organization dedicated to creating a supportive campus community that inspires young women to believe in themselves, pursue bold ideas, and grow into leaders who thrive in college and beyond. Driven by our tagline, "Building women who build the future," we bridge the gap between academic life and professional success. 

Our bi-weekly meetings alternate between professional development, career exploration, and community building. Key programming includes: 

Skill-Building Workshops: Interactive sessions focusing on resume and LinkedIn Building, pitch nights for venture ideas, and salary negotiating roleplay. 

Alumni & Industry Connections: Panel discussions and Q&As featuring successful Kent State alumni from top firms like PNC, KeyBank, Morgan Stanley, and Sherwin Williams. 

Mentorship Circles: Structured table discussions pairing upperclassmen with underclassmen to navigate classes, internships, and future career opportunities.  

Achievement Showcase: Dedicated to celebrations to recognize member milestones, including securing internships and jobs, making Dean's List, and honoring other major personal and academic achievements. 

CWIB is open to all students passionate about empowering women in the professional world. Through collaborative projects, networking mixers, and hands-on leadership opportunities, we equip our members with the tools, connections, and confidence to make a lasting impact.
