Deaf CultureS Club

The Deaf CultureS Club was created to bring more diversity not only to the ASL program, but to the Kent state campus as a whole.  Our meetings have consisted of bringing awareness to the vast amount of cultures within the Deaf Community.  For example, a few of our previous meetings included research on Black Sign Language, LGBTQ and Women's Rights within the Deaf community, and more!  All of our meetings are accessible to Deaf, HOH, and Hearing students.  Our meetings are also for non ASL students, in which we will teach you the alphabet and words to go along.

The KSU Deaf Cultures club board hopes to bring diversity to the ASL community on and around campus. Each event is made so that all students from all backgrounds are aware that their culture in someway, shape, or form collides with the Deaf community
