Delta Gamma
Delta Gamma was founded in 1873 in Oxford, Mississippi by three young women who were connected by the bonds of friendship. For the past 146 years, this organization has evolved, and our members now belong to a sisterhood of over 250,000 initiates around the world. Delta Gamma strives to create a culture of care and encourages an atmosphere among women to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility, and develop in them the best qualities of character.
We strive to live by the motto “Do Good.” Volunteer service is the heart of that mission, and through Service for Sight, Joining Forces, and the Golden Anchor Program, the Delta Gamma Foundation supports each individual chapter’s philanthropic goals. Through service, scholarship, leadership, and sisterhood our members form life changing bonds and take advantage of countless opportunities to help others. The bonds of this sisterhood last well beyond the collegiate years. This chapter offers a lifetime of support, opportunity, and friendship to all of its members. Wherever life takes us, there will always be a sister to help us along the way.
