Flashes Fighting Hunger

Flashes Fighting Hunger, formerly known as the Campus Kitchen is a student run food bank that aims to fight food insecurity and reduce food waste. We are located on the second floor of the Tri-towers rotunda. We have cooking and food preparation shifts every week. We also prepare food samples for the Haymaker Farmers’ Market. Flashes Fighting hunger also partners with the Akron-Canton food bank to help further supply our patrons and delivers fresh food to the Office of the Deans of Students satellite pantry on Fridays. We are constantly expanding our programming and give fresh food to several other food distribution centers in the area. 

We have a plethora of volunteer, leadership, and cooking opportunities and are always looking for more members!

Flashes Fighting Hunger, formerly Campus Kitchen aims to serve the food insecure in the community. Every week, Trader Joes donates hundreds of pounds of food to Campus Kitchen, where volunteers then repurpose it and give to the food insecure.
