Historical Student Association

The Historical Student Society is “dedicated to the proposition” that all KSU students are encouraged to join. Members of the club will watch historical films and documentaries, engage in discussions and debates, play history-related games, and learn about the diverse History here on campus and throughout the world. Members of the club will gain a greater sense of being connected to their community, to their country, to their world, and. The Historical Student Society is also a democratic institution: its members will have a say in the activities, topics, discussions, films, games and events in which its members participate. This organization works closely with the KSU History department to promote community and historical learning for everyone at Kent State. We explore archives, watch movies, discuss varying topics, and partner with varying organizations to learn about the diverse history here at Kent. 

We aim to learn more about history and build a community here in Kent. Join to play history-related games, to share time with others who have similar interests, and to learn more about Kent History as well as global cultural history.
