Turner Stump Theatre, located in the Center for Performing Arts.ReUnite, is a call to action. But that didn't stop a group of veterans, students and those in Kent State's Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC from assisting Kent State's Grounds Crew in the annual Veterans Day bulb-planting on Daffodil Hill. Daffodil Hill is part of the May 4 National Historic Landmark site and overlooks the Commons on Kent State University's Kent Campus. The field of 58,175 daffodils was planted in 1985 as a memorial, with one flower for each service member who died in the Vietnam War. Kent State University’s annual Veterans Day Commemoration paid tribute to all who have served in the U.S. armed forces. The day’s events began at on the Student Green, in front of the Kent Student Center and Risman Plaza, with a flag-raising ceremony and the posting of colors conducted by representatives from Kent State’s Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC programs.
