Kent State University students grabbed their paddles, boots and waders to help clean up the Cuyahoga River. The service trip was put together by the Kent State's Recreation and Wellness Services’ Adventure Center, which holds adventure trips, service trips and team-building programs. Electric scooters have become increasingly popular on Kent State University’s Kent Campus since the introduction of SPIN scooters in March 2022. Approximately 300 eScooters and 150 eBikes are available to rent. With that in mind, the Kent State Community should be aware of the dos and don’ts when operating the scooters. “We want people to educate themselves and be as informed as possible before jumping on one of these devices,” said Christopher Lukas, assistant director of outdoor operations and adventure for Kent Recreational Services. “Because if not, the scooters can be dangerous.”...
