The National Capital Alumni Chapter hosts events and programs that engage almost 3,000 alumni living in the greater Washington D.C. area. Early childhood education majors at Kent State University helped create a Cultural Fair for third-graders of Kent City Schools. The event, held in the Kent Roosevelt gymnasium, included stations and activities for students to learn about different countries and cultures such as learning a traditional Persian dance. Third-graders also decorated paper cut outs to represent their own cultural backgrounds which were displayed at the event. Officials from Kent State University and Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing recently signed an articulation pathway agreement that provides opportunities for graduates of the Salem nursing school to transition into the East Liverpool Campus’s nursing program.
