Kent State University at Salem’s City Center received the 2016 Sunflower Award from the Salem Beautification Committee through the Salem Chamber of Commerce for the third consecutive year. The award is given based on the upkeep of the building, including clean windows, neatly maintained entryways and sidewalks, as well as an aesthetically pleasing facade. Kent State University Professor Richard Feinberg from the Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences has been elected to the status of Honorary Fellow by the Association for Social Anthropology in Oceania (ASAO).
