College Skate Night: Brain Freeze: Study Break on Ice

College Late Night Skates are Wednesday nights at the KSU Ice Arena for Kent State college students with a current college ID. Guests may accompany a KSU college student, but must be 18 years of age or older and have an ID.
Cost is $5 (includes skate rental)
No cash payments at the Skate Rental and Concession counters.
CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENT ONLY (Visa, MC, Discover)
Guests must be accompanied by a current KSU Student.
College Skate Night admission sales will begin 30-minutes prior to the session start time.

CPR/AED Professional Rescuer Blended Learning

All aquatics certifications are taught by American Red Cross-certified instructors. Please note that participation in a certification class does not guarantee certification. All skills related to the certification must be properly demonstrated (as defined by course outline) in order to receive certification. Participants must successfully complete all skills and score an 80% or better on each written test in order to be certified. Certificates will be emailed as a PDF from the American Red Cross within 10 days of completion of the class. Class will start promptly at the designated time.

Pool Kayak Clinic

New kayakers can come learn kayaking skills. Participants may bring their own boats via the loading dock stairs and back entrance as long as the boats are FULLY CLEANED before entering the pool. If you don’t own a boat, one will be provided for you to use. Contact adventurecenter@kent.edu with any questions. Pre-registration IS REQUIRED by the Wednesday before each program.

Glow 4 Good - Jingle Bell Ride

Sleigh your workout. Sparkle for a cause. Get ready to crank up the cheer and turn down the lights where sweat meets spirit. It’s time for our most festive ride of the year! The studio will sparkle with holiday lights and jingle bell cheer where the playlist is merry, the vibes are glowing, and your sweat supports a great cause. Dress in your most lit holiday gear - think ugly sweaters, tinsel, Santa hats, reindeer antlers or anything that glows - and come ready to spin, sparkle, and support. You glow. You give. You jingle all the way.

Introduction to Climbing and Belaying Clinic

This two-and-a-half hour program covers the basics of indoor climbing including equipment, bouldering, top rope climbing, and belaying with an ATC and Gri-gri device. This program sets up an individual with no prior experience to take our belay test which is required when purchasing a climbing wall membership.

Air Frame Lab, CAE

  These aren't snowshoes, but they're what the internal structures inside the wing of an aircraft look like.
