All Kent State University campuses will operate on a holiday schedule from Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, through Friday, Jan. 1, 2016. During this time, all nonessential operations will be closed at all Kent State campuses. Normal business operations will resume with the first shift on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. Kent State University at Ashtabula welcomes a new food service to campus with the opening of Bridge Street Boulevard. The food counter, operated by local chef and restauranteur Nate Rockwell, serves a variety of lunch favorites including burgers, wraps, pizza, panini grilled sandwiches and specialty salads. Kent State University employees in the Administrative Services Building and the Office of Institutional Advancement found the answer when they discovered two stray tuxedo kittens in separate locations and on separate occasions in Kent. David Hassler, director of Kent State’s Wick Poetry Center, attended a meeting of poetry organizations from across the U.S. at the Lannan Foundation in Santa Fe, New Mexico, from Nov. 5-7.
