The annual sick leave conversion for eligible staff employees will take place Sept. 1 through Sept. 14. During this period, eligible classified and unclassified employees with a continuing appointment may convert accrued sick leave to vacation per administrative policy 3342-6-11.2. Kent State University will hold its Summer 2016 Commencement ceremony for the Kent Campus on Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center). Kent State will confer 1,455 degrees, including 917 bachelor’s degrees, 440 master’s degrees, 75 doctoral degrees and 23 educational specialist degrees. Kent State University President Beverly Warren today announced the appointment of Stephen Sokany, an alumnus and longtime employee, to the position of vice president for institutional advancement, effective Aug. 8, 2016. Kent State University’s Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Todd Diacon today announced that Susan Stocker, Ph.D., has been appointed interim dean and chief administrative officer of Kent State University at Geauga, located in Burton, Ohio, and Kent State’s Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg, effective Aug. 20, 2016.
