Kent State University’s Communication and Marketing Department recently submitted and won awards for marketing and communications work created over the past year and a half.
“These wins are a reflection of not only the talent and great work our team does at Kent State University, but also with the partners we work with throughout the university,” Assistant Vice President of Marketing Strategy Todd Snider said. “Without the collaboration and thought leadership involved in creating this work, none of these awards could have been possible.”
Kent State University won all nine of its submissions to the MarCom Awards. MarCom received more than 6,000 entries from 41 different countries. Kent State’s winning entries included:

Gold Award:
- Flashes Safe 8 Social Media Posts
- Flashes Safe 8 Videos
- Black Lives Matter Fall/Winter Print Magazine
Honorable Mention:
- Black Squirrel Interactive animation for KSU Kick-Off
- Admissions Website Redesign
- Admissions Viewbook
- Time Lapse Block K Video from Convocation
Kent State also won three bronze from the Education Digital Marketing Awards. The EDMA received over one-thousand entries from colleges, universities and secondary schools across the country. Awards won include:
- Black Squirrel Interactive animation for KSU Kick-Off
- Admissions Website Redesign
- Black Lives Matter Fall/Winter E-Magazine
